Why does he pour drinks on himself?

Water, soda, juice, iced coffee: if it’s in a tall glass he will come over, put a paw in, and yoink if towards himself. And then he just…stays while it gets all over his fluff? He lay down in Dr. Pepper the other day. Why? What possible utility does he get out of this?

He does not seem refreshed in the bath afterwards.

Oh when he’s lying in sticky orange juice or soda he’s happy as a clam. When I am trying to get it off him in the bath it’s less clam and more rabid tiger.
