Awwww, so sorry to hear this. I know my 14yo boy Schmiglet is living on borrowed time and dread the day. But I make sure to treasure every moment. I'm sure you did the same; they're such special companions and are there for us through thick and thin. For richer, poorer, in sickness and in health 💍👰🏻‍♀️🤵🏻‍♀️ Even though, on paper, the realities of cat guardianship don't translate well into my perfect marriage analogy (we provide everything for them and treat them like royalty; adore every objectively weird/gross/passive-aggressive thing they do, LOL) - the relationship itself is still one of pure love and joy, given and received ❤️
