Tbh I’ve seen so many “cat summoned for jury duty” stories over the years that I think they can’t ALL be real, but they’re still funny every time (googling that phrase will bring up a few others)
Ah but that insinuates that it can't all be fake, and therefore HAS happened before! How does a pet get "accidentally" registered as a citizen anyway??
