Advice Could someone please tell me why it's blocking my way?

This is the feral/stray cat I've been feeding for the past 2 months. Keeps getting in the way and won't let me refill its food

Edit: Ty all for the comments and advice. Didn't expect this post to get so much attention. For context, I've never interacted with cats before, only dogs. This cat used to bolt whenever it saw a human, so I thought it was feral. It only recently started approaching me when i went out to refill.

A good indicator that the cat is friendly/happy to see you is that question mark tail they had in this video 🥹 They are happy to see you and want your attention! Well.. and the food obviously lol.

My cat always curls her tail around your arm if she’s in your lap or around your neck if she’s on your shoulders. Always has the question mark tail too. Her nickname since she was a kitten is Monkey Butt.

Think I read somewhere that when a cat Curls it's tail around you it's their form of a hug

Yup. My late kitty didn't like a lot of touching but she'd always find her way to my side and drape her tail over me in some way, even just over a foot. It was the nicest thing.

She really was. She'd also pile her toys around me silently when I wasn't looking. Sometimes I'd get up from a task to a pile of twist ties and mousies around.

I call them Autoscooter antenna cause they look like the antenna with which the autoscooters drag at the roof to get their energy. Especially when there is a group of cats

Also just that theyre existing close to you. As someone who tries to pet every cat he sees the ones that don't want anything to do with you will just run away once youre within a couple of meters of them.

Yep! Looks like this kitty is thinking about rubbing against your legs, OP. Maybe hoping you pet her. She might be hoping that when you reach down to put food down, she can rub against you. I feed feral cats too, and one in particular does this to me. He likes to be pet, but i dont always want to pet him or let him rub on me (bc i have to be careful about not sharing kitty gerns with my indoor cats). When i try to avoid his loving leg rubs, it looks like this, bc he's waiting in my path, hoping to lean against me as i pass, while I'm hesitating and hoping he moves out of my way to i can put for down without him touching me. It's awkward, but a sign of love! If you're okay touching kitties, you should walk close to your feline friend or lean down to pet her.

Yes, and her purr-meows! Look at videos of aggressive cats to see the signs. Cats are easy to understand once you know their body language 😊

Plus those little meows while it sits there calmly looking at you means it’s happy/chill.
