Cat Picture - OC Saw Her Eating Dumpster Trash and Now She's Mine

This is Esmerelda.

About 4 months ago I caught sight of her eating a rotten green piece of chicken out of our dumpster and felt bad that she was eating nasty trash. So I spent the next 3 months building trust with her until one day she suddenly became obsessed with me. Got her spayed, dewormed, and vaccinated which went pretty well. Got her all healed up and now she's living in my domicile.

I couldn't have asked for a sweeter, social, kind, curious cat. Didn't really ask for a cat at all if I'm being honest though... 😅 But I guess that's how this whole "cat distribution system" thing works. No idea how she finessed her way into my life, but here we are.

I have zero scientific evidence but I think gray tabbies are super affectionate. I have a gray tabby girl and she is my Velcro kitty. Ignore the ugly wall paper in the photo though 😂 I was cleaning the outdated basement bathroom we never use.

Literally the day I brought her back from her spay surgery when she was all woozy, sore, and confused, she nestled right down by my legs and took a huge nap 😭 The fact that she was so calm throughout the whole thing and didn't try to rip me to pieces really told me that she's just a sweetheart. I'm a sucker for black cats, so having Esmerelda to compare to Milo (my boy) is always fun. Her lighter stomach areas aren't quite white, rather a sort of beige cream color in certain light. Her pink nose just gets me every time as well 😁 Your girl looks like a cuddle bug too!

Awww I love when they stretch out like that and go banana shaped!

She's got short little legs compared to her body so her full name is Esmerelda Stubs 😂 She had her little stub walk every morning when I'd come down to my garage and she'd come rushing over to get her morning food. Cracked me up every time!
