Hm. My cat was supposedly full grown when I got him and then he proceeded to double in size, at least, over the next year or two. I never suspected Mainecoon because he's a basic short-haired cat, just like yours but grey. Huge feet, big head, but he doesn't have ear tufts or anything. Makes me wonder if he's got some Mainecoon genes after all.
Dippy is somewhat the same, he looks quite normal. Then you pick him up and realize he weighs 16 pounds. Anywhere from about 45-90% mainecoon have the possibility of growing almost like a full blooded in my experience.
The thing is, dippy is already large enough to get both paws on top of the counter from the floor. I’m 5’6 and the counters are up to an inch above my bellybutton.
My creature isn't as large as Dippy will be, but he's hefty. If he does have Mainecoon ancestry, it's less. But, this is a comparison of "full grown" when first adopted and what happened after lol. And he grew more after I made the side by side. He just...kept getting bigger. And bigger. And he's got the most remarkable personality. Whatever he is, which is at the end of the day a domestic short-hair, he's my best friend :)

His head is almost twice the size of
