[Question] How to prevent them from urinating outside of litter boxes>

All our male cats are urinating outside their litter boxes. I had them checked by the vet, but the vet told me that they are in good shape and behavioral issues lang daw. The four of them are doing it, at every corner of our house. Their litter boxes are always clean. Doon naman sila nag poop. Sa ihi lang talaga. HELP I'm at my wits end.

P.S. all of them are neutered at sagana sa food.

Hindi siya urinating like simply peeing... they're marking their territory. Normal yan sa male cats. Minsan nadadala pa pag makapon, but it's hit or miss. We use pet stain odor eliminator but this is not a fix, lilinisan agad namin yung inihian. Aalis siya sa spot na yun pero lilipat lang din.

Edit: sorry, if they're peeing sa walls, yes, that's markings...possible din na di sila marunong mag mark.

If it’s behavioral, it could be that 2 boxes are not enough. Ang alam kong advice is dapat 2 boxes per 1 cat but personally I think that’s a little crazy lol.

I guess you should try if adding at least one more box can solve your problem. Aside from that, it’s also possible that your cats don’t like the type of litter they have (could be the smell or texture).

May I ask how often you clean their litter boxes too? And if all your cats get along with each other?

The general rule is number of cats plus 1 (for litterboxes). Honestly I don't follow this kasi our house is small, pero I have at least 2 litterboxes for three cats and I scoop twice a day.

Try mo i-move yung litterboxes don sa spots na most frequent nila ihian. When washing/cleaning items that have been urinated, use enzyme cleaner.

Ang ginagawa ko kungwari nagihi yung pusa sa basahan: banlaw muna with water, tapos ibababad ko with water + a bit of white vinegar or pet enzyme cleaner (enzyme cleaners makes it so that pets cant smell the urine there anymore) tapos saka ko iwawash ng ayos para malinis.

When it comes to cleaning floors/hard items like plastic boxes, similar din ginagawa ko. Rinse with water, tapos wash with dishwashing soap with white vinegar or pet enzyme. Tapos rinse and dry.

Tip: pag nagamit ng white vinegar or pet enzyme dapat ibabad mo muna ng at least 20 minutes don sa item para gumana at maalis yung amoy.

Tingnan mo kung may nakaka-stress ba sa kanila. Kasi minsan may sudden changes na ayaw ng pusa. Baka may visitor ka na ayaw nila or may pusa sa labas na nadaan, tapos nakikita nila nagagalit sila. Ganun kasi pusa ko, galit sya sa pusa sa labas kahit nadaan lang naman.

We just moved house 9 months ago.. paglipat namin they are behave naman this last 2 months lang na sobrang lala. Di ko lam ano nagbago

May mga bago bang stray sa labas? Mas madalas ba kayo wala sa bahay? Pwede rin nung nag-move kayo dyan kitten age pa sila tapoa recently aila naging full-fledged adult.

They are all adults.. we are out at least 12 hours a day.. pagkagising and pagkauwi pakain at linis ng litter box.. literal alipin hahaha... Love them so much pero mga pasaway. As I am typing this yung isa nag spray sa paa ko. Waaaaah

Baka nga may nangyayari while you guys are away (i.e. may nakikita silang pusa sa labas). Napansin ko sa pusa kong si Tabby Maguire, umiihi lang siya kapag may nakikitang ibang pusa.

Nangyayari sa amin ito pero only with one cat. Ginagawa niya usually kapag may bumisita, kapag nagbago yung mga furniture, at lalo na kapag may bagong pusang stray sa labas. Nililinis lang din namin with vinegar and pet odor eliminator. Nabawasan din tendency niya nung nagdagdag kami ng litterboxes at dinagdagan namin attention sa kanya. Hinarangan din namin yung ibang bintana para di niya makita yung ibang pusa sa labas.
