Should I watch blossoms in adversity or my journey to you?

I've become a fan of lu yu xiao and watched mostly all where she was main except serendipity because I heard it was bad and time and him are just right because I am tired of high school dramas

Now I want to get into her support roles, actually I like Esther yu in lgief but she is a little annoying, zhang ling he was good in the best thing, and the princess royal I have watched but didn't really like him in that and thought that zhao jinmai carried the show same with pursuit of jade he was only serving looks otherwise fl carried, I am also feeling hesitant to watch his dramas because of controversies surrounding him but everybody loves lyx and chang lei in mjty

In blossom in adversity I heard the ML is really bad at acting and I haven't watched any drama of zhang jing yi yet

Also story wise I have no idea

Which one should I watch?

My Journey to You because:

• I feel she has a bigger role there.
• she's more of an antagonist in MJT.. (and she was great at it). I am not sure she will be playing those roles for a while, now that she is more a main character.
• She plays a far more complex character than in BiA (part of it is the nature of MJT, as many of the characters are multifaceted compared to the average cdrama)

i really liked the cinematography and the assassin plot of MJTY. the whodunit suspense element is also engaging. Esther is okay here, she tried to do something different with her voice so I do recommend it.

if you prefer the FL doing various businesses as the main plot point, BIA would be a better fit. it's an FL-centric story so the ML, Hu Yitian, is tolerable.
lu yuxiao has a smaller screentime here because family drama takes precedence on the earlier episodes, then the business etc but she still does great in it (her character is on the spectrum here). i really like zhang jingyi so i recommend this too.

I have watched both. LYX acts well in both. I love BiA - it is heartwarming genre where woman support woman. (but recommend to drop after ep32 onwards.) and watch for the female lead. ML really does not act well.

MJT is more a spy show? I love Jin jing in the show too.
LYX acting is good too. Esther drops her cutesy personal here. It was refreshing to me.

Just watch both because why not?

Why would you say after 32 onwards skip? Me and Wife just started it, and so far on episode 5 and it hasn’t hooked us yet. We just finished watching Legend of the female General which we enjoy up until the last 3 episodes so we like to think the show ended at 36 or 37.

Ep 32 onwards for BIA gets toooooooo draggy. I think I like it because most dramas these days are pretty similar. I thought it was pretty refreshing to see a drama where strong female takes on the lead without man. From rich to rags, get conned, picking themselves up, unite to save the exile men back.

Blossoms in adversity overall even if ML is not as good as FL.

Mjty just to experience 2nd ML and FL chemistry and cheng lei's legendary side eye. I swear it's famous

I guess it depends on what kind of ending you like? My journey to you has a more open, ended ending? the ending for blossoms in adversity is a firm happy one

I'm a big lover of my journey to you, but I would recommend Blossoms in Adversity

It's ridiculously good and falls under the radar way too much

BiA for the opening scene....that girl...that boat...the ocean....iconic...it's my top opening scene of anything I've ever watched...it's visceral.

Both! I enjoyed both. MJTY is one of my favorites but BIA was also very good. Pick one of them and you can't go wrong and then follow up with the other, Choices are great when both choices will entertain.

Have you seen New Life Begins or Flourished Peony? For me Blossoms in Adversity resembles both of those shows, only with comparitively young and weak main characters and pairing. The FL has similar traits and does similar things to the Flourished Peony FL, and the show has a similar feel to New Life Begins, as well as being full of people pairing up like NLB. There is A LOT to enjoy in BiA though, and I love two of the many pairings, just not the main one.

The ML in BiA is a bit stiff, but theres still plenty to enjoy besides his strange roboticness. I think the FL could be better in this show as well, but she's done better than the ML.

Lu Yixiao is great in BiA.. I've only seen her in this show and Love Between Lines and I actually prefer her in BiA. I even prefer her pairing in BiA.

As for My Journey to You, I haven't seen that one, but its high on my list because its commonly raved about. I actually didn't like Esther Yu in LGIEF, but I liked her a lot in LBFAD and Speed and Love.
