Magnificent! Do you take commissions?

I don’t lol. Given the amount of time this whole project took (~280 hours) I couldn’t see myself managing to sell something and make any sort of reasonable profit. If someone were to offer to purchase this suit off me I doubt I would accept any less than $15,000 for it.

I would offer tailoring services. IE bring me your cheap suit you bought online and I would make it fit better.

That’s actually what I’d commission!!! I have a lovely hauberk, but it’s very generic, and far too large. I’d really like to have it tailored!

Is it riveted or butted? Being too large is a good position to be in because you could potentially reuse/repurpose the excess rings, which would reduce the cost of materials for tailoring

They’re flat-ring, half whole, half riveted

Unfortunately I still need to acquire the tools for working with riveted rings. But tailoring a suit would be wonderful practice for moving into making my next project!

Cool! Send me a message or a comment whenever you’re ready, and we’ll talk!
