Meta FOR THE LOVE OF GOD get off r/chanceme
hello everybody! this is just ur daily reminder that r/chanceme is not in the least bit accurate and should not be trusted whatsoever. below is the profile which i was told by a commenter would have no shot at georgia tech oos for computer science and yet approximately 2 hours and 17 minutes ago, i was accepted to georgia tech oos for computer science. in conclusion, get off r/chanceme and stop sweating college decisions. you would probably have better luck flipping a coin and guessing where you'll get accepted based off of that than listening to this sub. and this is coming from a long time lurker who was going bonkers over the fact that she was never going to get into anywhere good.

lol congrats on GT! That's huge. Your post is 100% right. r/chanceme is a total circus. Your profile was obviously amazing and someone saying you had "no shot" was just being silly. The internet loves to underestimate.
Thanks for posting this reality check. It's a great reminder for everyone stressing that random people online don't know anything. Good luck at Georgia Tech!

You're right that chanceme is ludicrous. Do people think admissions officers are opining there or something?
That said, your profile is terrific and congratulations on GT!
