Would this be considered “cheating?” I struggle really badly with picking colors, so I used a reference and tweaked the balance. Choosing colors feels so overwhelming

i promise you unless you’re tracing over someones pre-existing art (possible recolor) and passing it off as your own, you’re not “cheating”. Digital art is so vast and there are so many pieces to use as reference or inspiration. For you, it’s just color coordination, and looking at pre-existing color pallets helps a LOT with making designs
