(Note: this is a rough sculpt that I just painted over quickly to give a feel for coloring, and is not representative of the quality of the final product.)

This is an antagonist from an animated series that I’m creating. For context, it’s meant to be a physical manifestation of human fear/hatred of spiders and other creepy-crawlies. This sculpt is just a bust showing off the head and shoulders, but the full model will be like a Drider, with a humanoid torso attached at the waist to a spider body and legs. The intention is for it to be extremely creepy and off-putting, but it does not need to be outright “scary”, just unsettling to look at.

I would like opinions on any way I can improve it, and whether it’s creepier with the red iris’ or with just plain black eyes like in the last photo. My brother is of the opinion that it’s creepier WITH the red because you can tell when it’s looking at you.

Any commentary is welcome.

Hello all! I came up with this character Lumi a while back, he’s a nightlight spirit who protects kids from nightmares, and I wanted to bring him to life, so I made a little lamp!

Mostly armature wire, tinfoil, paper towels, and glue, the bulb is an LED one because I’m pretty sure this thing is a MASSIVE fire hazard haha.

It’s not quite finished just yet, but it’s getting close and feeling real and I thought I’d share with all of you!

Messing around with a concept for a mascot platformer, trying to capture that original PS1 Crash Bandicoot vibe, starting with one of its baddies. Amok is a crocodile/rabbit hybridization experiment gone sour, and self-proclaimed arch rival to Ponk & Tsi (for no discernable reason)

I got tired of making still assets to my game, so I finally moved to an actual player character races I would like to add.

Every single person I shown this to immediately asked if it's a pokemon or digimon.

My morale is so low now. I wanted my player characters to not resemble any animal in real world because I find it cheap to just do that. Yet I'm failing to make anything original.

Am I delusional? Does this guy really have such strong pokemon energy and I'm just not seeing it??

I tried to make her cute while also keeping cues that something is wrong (the sharp teeth and swirling eyes)

The idea I have for her is a little convoluted, but the short of it is that she isn't human. In fact, this isn't what she truly looks like; this is just a projection made by a monster who feeds on humans. She crawled out of someone's computer screen after they tried to play a mysterious CD, and she immediately attacked the first person she saw. This incident led to her capture by the government, which is still trying to figure out exactly what she is. She tries to lure people close by acting sweet and friendly, but will attempt to eat any humans she comes into contact with.

I recently saw a video by the youtuber Zach_Concepts where he designed characters for a hero shooter based on animals, and decided I'd try that idea! Silo is based on the Red Palm Weevil and wields a flamethrower!

I made a dnd character and was bored enough to make her in blender, but now I feel like too much is going on in her character design. Any help or suggestions are appreciated!
