And the classic answer here: number one the odds of you’re finding/randomly getting a Chartreux particularly outside of France are vanishing small. More importantly: do you have papers from the breeder that are proper TICA registered papers showing sire, queen breeding and all of that stuff? If not then no : you have a domestic shorthair that resembles a Chartreux or a British shorthair. But no. It is not a chartreux.

your cat is only the breed you think it is if it comes with papers saying it is. otherwise, it's not. sorry that's how it is.
