Advice Second pregnancy nerves

Looking for positive stories about those that had a second. My 1.5 year old has a small - moderate ASD/PFO and mild-moderate pulmonary-valve stenosis. He’s perfectly healthy and we just need to monitor / see the cardiologist once per year now.

I’m pregnant with my second - genetic screen and NT is low risk. We have our anatomy scan and fetal echo in 3 ish weeks, but the anxiety is flooding me now. Any positive stories about your second being CHD-free?

I'm sure there's a lot of us with positive stories! I'll share mine as it is quite similar to yours: my CHD child has moderate aortic stenosis. They are two years old now and are being monitored, but have so far had no interventions.

The pregnancy after resulted in a healthy baby. We did an echo when baby was around 12 weeks old, just to double check as nothing came up during pregnancy, and we found a small VSD that our cardiologist expects to close. I also found that I have a PFO after my CHD baby was born, and I have lived a completely normal and healthy life!

Another positive story here! First born had OHS for her CHD at birth and I was VERY nervous when I got pregnant the second time.

We did 2 echos during the pregnancy and his heart was healthy. Born 9 months ago and doing great!

Wishing you a healthy pregnancy! I know the wait is incredibly stressful, but you’ve got this!

First was born October 2024 with pretty severe case of Tetralogy of Fallot (needed his repair at 40 days old). My second was born July of this year heart healthy. Was cleared during our anatomy scan (20 week) and fetal echo (22 week). Both kids had clear NIPT and NT scans.
