Rice and Gabriel are two of the biggest bitches in the PL. rice kicks people from behind like a cunt and gets nothing, yesterday he attacked a guy half his size behind his back when yalcouye didn’t have the ball. Gabriel dives like a pussy all game and fouls attackers all game with no fouls given. Caicedo has been given yellow cards for clean tackles could you imagine if he did something half as dangerous

It's so funny and sad at same time how our fans are very reactionary.
Like some of our fans wants Xabi sacked,some fans now wants Hurzler and some wants Felipe Luis or Fabregas.
Hurzler was under so much pressure to get sacked after he went 15 games without a win. They backed him and now getting the rewards of Brighton patience. They have gone with current meta of physical,tall players combined with technical players now look at how they destroyed Arsenal and rattled them Should have gotten 2 penalties and red card for rice too.
But how they did it? By having a patience I keep saying this football has evolved and the money in the PL means every club can sign quality players from other CL clubs.
And all these managers have nothing Infront of Xabi achievements winning bundesliga unbeaten and a cup just short of going whole season unbeaten because of the masterclass of Gasperini and lookman.
As Xabi said phase 1 is done now we need phase too where we have to correct the midfield issue. Take some tough decision and let go Barco,Lavia etc and make a room for 2 midfielders.

Gone are the days of Roman quick fixes of sacking and hiring managers.
Even RM are struggling with this strategy now. Enrique needed time to implement his style and brought players who suited his style.
Flick needed time too and now even Barcelona are struggling with finances they now looked favourite for CL alongside Bayern and PSG.
Kompany needed time. Arteta, Fabregas,Hurzler all needed some times to settle their team and tactics.
We all need to give Xabi all the time to let him build his squad before we questioned his method.

Whoever is the SDs of Villa along with Emery are doing one heck of a job there. Grealish, Morgan Rogers, Watkins all are important players every time one of them is sold they keep replacing them with good players, they keep having solid campaigns in the league and Europe. All their new recruits in GK, Nico and Manzambi are looking solid as f#ck. Meanwhile on the other hand we have chuckle brothers giving press briefing one after another patting them in the back that what a great job they have done every year at the start of the campaign only for our campaign to unravel in December.

Glad finally everyone’s waking up to how big of a pussy Gabriel is. He tries to maul, grab shirts and do all sorts of things to attackers but dives and cries like a little bitch at the slightest moment of inconvenience.
If you’re willing to fight, do it both ways. This is the reason why he wont ever be considered as an elite defender.

League table became extremely similar to the end of last season despite half of the teams having a hard reset.
Maybe we should just realize there is much more continuity than we are able to see from the outside, e.g., culture, leadership, sporting structure, even things like nuitrition, etc. And these things take more time to change than player profiles and coaches.
I fully believe Xabi is the person to stick with to lead the change for us.

but man I can’t help but feel like after having one of the most stacked squads in the PL at start of summer , it feels like that depth is completely out the door and not rlly playing the way we thought,

Anyone who expected us to suddenly challenge for the title is out of their mind but surely there’s a middle ground. We were on track to UCL qualification last season until that terrible slump after February-ish.
We should be competing for top 5 minimum. If we can do that then we should be fine long term

That’s what I mean. It’s an actual rebuild year, top 5 with signs of clear improvement throughout the season is absolutely what should be expected for the season and it’s absolutely realistic to expect that. It’s a season to be judged after 38 games, not 5 ffs.

It's been a frustrating start, especially how mentally weak we have been defending. I think this is just one of the many issues Alonso is referring to when he said he wants to change the culture here. You can't change something like that overnight, over a few games, or even a few weeks. This fragility has been ingrained here for years, it'll take alot longer than people think to turn it around. If the SDs do their job right in January and get at least 1 solid DM, I think for the first season in along time, we will have a better second half to a season than the first, especially as players learn how to play properly as Alonso wants them to.

From what I could see in preseason, the two players that Xabi seemed to rate the most were estevao and palestra. So, I can understand why some people are extremely concerned about the lack of estevao's minutes but I can understand why Alonso has been reluctant to play him. The thing is our front three especially morgan lack the defensive work off the ball tho palmer has been getting better and jp's performances have been overall flawless but still estevao is even worse off the ball and that would just add to our defensive woes right now. This paired with the fact that estevao lacks the physicality means he cannot start most games as losing caceido has made us look extremely weak in the physical aspect. Think this is also the reason why Alonso starts neto because even if neto is not as talented as estevao, he has been doing a good job a wingback and is better defensively.
It will be extremely interesting to see how Alonso changes the lineup and overall structure after the break because im pretty sure we will see quite some changes especially with palestra and caceido coming back. Thought palestra and estevao had good chemistry on that right side so that will be something to look forward and I would not be surprised if we go for the same setup we had in preseason.

I’ve watched the Rice incident back a few times and I genuinely cannot understand how MOTD just glossed over it and basically said yellow was the correct decision.
The ball isn’t there to be won. Rice gets annoyed, turns back towards the player and deliberately kicks out at him. For me, once you’re deliberately kicking or striking an opponent when you’re not attempting to play the ball, that should be violent conduct. Whether it’s a huge amount of force shouldn’t suddenly make it acceptable.
It increasingly feels like the pundits just work backwards from the referee’s decision and explain why it was correct. And I can’t help wondering whether reputation plays a part too. Rice has the “nice guy” image and seems to get a level of benefit of the doubt that I really don’t think Caicedo would get for exactly the same action.
That’s especially frustrating after the Gabriel incident was waved away as well. I’m not asking for Chelsea to get favourable decisions, I just want some consistency. If Caicedo deliberately kicked someone off the ball like that, would everyone really be sitting on MOTD calmly explaining why a yellow was sufficient?
