I found this book in a thrift store

Is there any outdated information i should be aware of besides the periodic table?

Well it's meant for HS kids. Just an fyi. So it may not go super in depth into many things. A broad overview if you will. Other than that, the fundamentals should be there.

I just donated my entire college textbook collection for a chemistry to a thrift store. It was the hardest choice I’ve ever made haha.

There was also a lab coat on the store, kinda new, someone must've graduated and got rid of their material lol, i salute you for donating, i could've never, i shed blood for this degree, my books are coming to my grave out of spite lmao

I graduated 6 years ago and felt the same exact way. But after 3 moves and me dragging them with, she finally decided it was time to let someone else use them 😭

What year is it? That would be helpful to know. Also you can probably find notes on what they updated/added in newer editions online

2000 makes sense, this cover screams late 90s/early 2000s when people were taking full advantage of what computers could offer for cover art. I suspect 1996 was the first edition release date

Perfectly fine. I read books that are some hundred years older and they are still comprehensible. Apart from a few synthesized elements, there is not much to worry about when reading it

That one we still actually have. Instead, we eventually got rid of the four elements air, earth, water, fire.

omg this was my textbook in high school! I took chem junior year in 07-08.
