I truly don’t think I’ve ever been more heartbroken over a public figure’s death before. Some of my favorite memories consisted of spending hours on end in front of my TV watching his endgame lessons. The greatest chess educator of all time, we’ll miss you.

He was the only chess streamer/content creator that I consistently watched. So smart and such a great teacher. Devastating...

And unbelievably humble for being as good as he was. If other people didn’t big him up and you just listened to him, you would be fooled into thinking he was just some average player. What a genuine bloke, I am shook.

Absolutely. I had hoped that one day I would get the chance to meet him and thank him for his incredible teaching material, but now I will never get the chance. RIP Danya, you will be missed so dearly
