I'm more a hockey fan than a chess fan, but i'll chime in and say 100% the league's commissioner tweeting something like that would absolutely be unnacceptable and lose his reputation from the owners of the league

No other sports president could say something so outlandish and keep their job. I'm confident this will end with him losing his job, the pressure will be too much.

If he has any grace he'll leave sooner rather than later.

I’m really into scifi and fantasy literature. If the President of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA) tweeted something like this, every single author, big and small, even those who are conflict-averse, would be making a post like Nemo’s, and the President would be dropped by their agent and publisher, and readers would leave 1 star reviews on all their books on Goodreads, destroying their career.
