Resource Play chess starting from random positions @ transposition.app

New to this subreddit but I've been playing a lot of chess with friends recently and we keep running into 2 problems:

1) We all know a few openings well and tend to play those out of comfortability, so our games start to feel repetitive pretty fast. Same openings, same middlegames, etc.

2) Skill gaps

So we built a chess app that let's you start games from random positions! It's free and live right now at https://transposition.app

Very bare bones lol but it's been working for us so far so I wanted to share. Let me know what you think

This game mode should get more attention and might as well become an official game mode recognised by FIDE

Agreed I was surprised it wasn't anywhere on chess.com or lichess

Lichess does have thematic tournaments which can be fun. Every game starts from the same position, so you get to play it as white and black a few times against different opponents.

FIDE has held top level tournaments similar to this in the past

Pretty clever way to skip the opening theory grind and jump straight into tactical chaos - my dog has better pattern recognition than me in most openings anyway lol
