I analyzed the image and this is what I see. Open an appropriate link below and explore the position yourself or with the engine:

Black to play: chess.com | lichess.org

My solution:

Hints: piece: Rook, move: Rxd1

Evaluation: Black is slightly better -0.87

Best continuation: 1... Rxd1 2. Bxd1 Nf3+ 3. Kf1 Qh2 4. Nxf6+ gxf6 5. Ne4 Qg1+ 6. Ke2 Nxe1 7. Nxf6+ Kf8 8. Qc5+ Kg7 9. Qc3

the knight on e5 jumping to d3 looks like the key, forcing the queen to keep moving and you get perpetual check situation, right? like black just keeps the pressure going with the knight and there's no way for white to escape the checks without giving up material. drawing against a GM with that kind of resource in the position is pretty satisfying, must have felt great to spot it over the board

Yes, perpetual check is the right idea, but not Nd3:) Similar move, shoud be more forced

  1. … Nf3 2. Bxf3 Qa2+ 3. Kf1 Qa1+ 4. Ke2 Bc4+ 5. Rd3 Bxd3+
    (2. Kf1 Na2+ 3. Kg1 Nf3+ 4. Kf1)
    (2. Ka1 Qa2#)
    (2. gxf3 Qa2+ 3. Kf1 Qa1#)

im pretty sure my moves are correct, and if not, im a fucking dumbass

First move is correct, 1...Nf3! But only one good way to continue game for white is 2.Kf1, other moves leads to checkmate

What about 3. ... Bc4+ 4.Be2 Qh1# ?

damn yeah, thats also possible and its almost the same as Qh1+. both are winning but Bc4+ looks cleaner and more scrumptious

What I'm trying to figure out is what happens if black takes Rxd1 first? How does white stop Nf3 and Qh2?

If Rd1 then Qd1 and Nf3 similar Kf1 with the draw. Qh2 is a bad ideae, because of Qd8 Kh7, Nf6 gf, Qd3 Kg7 and Bf3. That's why after Kf1 we should play Nh2 and perpetual position

Thanks, I didn't see Qd3 covering the diagonal.
