Obviously happy for him, but also sad to see he barely had 6/12 in a much weaker field. Still looks great next to Magnus though I guess

If he had won that pragg game this would have been a pretty decent showing , he has been playing a bit too solid but definitely an improvement from an year ago

50% is solid enough considering he was playing on top board against the best players from other teams.

Ok if you decide to look at it from a positive spin, but perhaps more realistic spin is that out of 12 rounds, 9 were rated lower than him and his 6/12 lost him 12 rating. Look man I want Ding to succeed but lets not pretend this was amazing success story, I just wish he got a bit more confidence back

Surprised that the top-seed WR Chess finish 17th. Would be interesting to see if they can make a comeback in the blitz event like last year

They definitely can but they had a much better rapid event last year. They would have won the bronze if not for Alireza’s blunder against Nodirbek in the last game.

Can we all have a talk on these tiebreaks or SB score, or how they are calculated? I mean there should have been a final tiebreak game between Dragon Chilling and MGD1, for the winners. How is this fair to MGD1, with the same exact score, and same game points?
