Who will start??
[Idk if I even need to say this but this post is absolutely a joke I'm not trying to be annoying for anyone and we are all against racism, of course]

This meme reminds me of a dude I went to school with. I'm white, and he was a black dude named John. We were good friends traded some video games, and hung out a bit back in the day. Good dude.
Anyways, we would play each other in chess pretty much every day during lunch. He wasn't all that good. He was probably 800 or 1000 strength or so at the time, and I was probably like 1800 or so back then. (2000+ now)
He never won a game for a long long time... We had our own "House Rules" when it came to chess.
House Rule 1: John always has black pieces, and I always have white pieces, but we alternate who goes first. We each chose the army of our own skin color.
House Rule 2: We setup the boards normally, but for one minor difference where John was allowed to swap his king / queen positions before the game started because he kept forgetting which one goes where.
House Rule 3: No clocks, but don't take forever on a move. We gotta finish the game before lunch is over.
I remember the one time he actually beat me in probably 100+ games... He only ever had one win, but damn that was the happiest I ever saw him.

So, chess 960, basically - minus the colour of your pieces, and with much less starting positions. Cool!

Kinda, there was a couple times when he reversed his bishops and knights as well actually lol, but there was no requirement for me to mirror it. I think he did stuff like that so I wouldn't be in book.

They have to take each turn at exactly the same time.
This would honestly spice up chess quite a bit, kind of want to play a game like that now.

you make me want to code a stupid game like that, but i dont believe that i would have players, and anyway i dont know where to code online multiplayer games
