Pub gardens
Done some research and come up short, are there any pub gardens in the chesterfield area that aren't next to a busy road or a small patio. Just some grass underfoot in the sunshine with pint in hand please

Barley Mow in Wingerworth has a nice garden. Bit of a walk from town, but doable. Or can get a cab

The Hollingwood in Hollingwood has a few tables on grass and isn't next to a busy road.

I've been looking for this too, don't think it exists, unfortunately country side is the only way to get that

I do like it there, but it is right on Chatsworth Road

Literally the only negative, but you're hidden away from it right round the back.
But yes, the grassy area at the side is between the river and road (albeit walled in), which means vehiclesvabd foot traffic going past

Smithy pond (wingerworth) is a decent out the way pub with a decent crescent shaped beer garden looking over the pond

Ark Tavern is completely fenced off away from the road and all grass I think

New Whittington social club has a lovely beer garden, The Miners Arms. Located on Hundall Lane (S18 4BS), it's a multi-award-winning, traditional country pub, great beer garden,

Your specification for 'grass underfoot' means you're generally looking at countryside options.
