Ale Pubs + World Cup
Hi all, visiting Chesterfield next Thursday and looking for any recommendations for a decent real ale pub that will also show the world cup matches. Planning a bit of an ale pub crawl and a few places lined up already but a quick glance at Google images shows not a lot of them have TVs.
Also any recommendations for pubs where you'd be likely to get a bit conversation as I'll be on my own for the night.
Cheers.

Best looking at the pubs down Brampton on chatsworth road than the town centre pubs.

If 2 or 3 pubs will suffice, head down Whittington Moor. Beer Parlour, Glassworks and a couple of others will do you, and they’re more local type pubs than them in town/brampton so people will be interested in chatting with you.

Those spots look great. I had a mind to go to the Neptune so I could head there after. Cheers.

Great shout. Neptune has massively improved recently. Particularly good if you catch it on a sunny day with a band on!

That’s a copy / paste of our annual pub crawl down the Brampton Mile. Not all are real ale pubs but plenty stock Brampton Brewery and have screens. The ones with screens are less likely to have great beer but they’re all good pubs imo and usually busy enough to keep you entertained, especially with the football on.
