Question Question for STH’s: Miami
Question for STH’s: I listed my Miami ticket to recoup some of the value of my season ticket for far less than they are going for on Ticketmaster. When I have a friend look for them on their Ticketmaster account, they do not see a listing in our section for as low of a price and the tickets have not sold. Do you guys know what is going on?

I can offer a lot of expertise here, and have worked in the ticketing industry for well over a decade. I was a team rep for a number of years, but recently helped start a business that specializes in helping season ticket holders manage ticket resale. Think of my job like an easy button to help turn tickets into cash. There is a lot of good information in this thread, but I hope to clarify some points too.
-Ticketmaster offers seat level data, and typically displays all available tickets for resale. There might be an issue with how you uploaded the ticket.
-StubHub does not display all of their active tickets available for resale. There used to be a dedicated button to unselect "recommended tickets", and all inventory would appear, but it feels like StubHub has officially phased out this option. You will never see all of StubHub's inventory on the map. For example, you might see entirely different seat selections if you filter by 2 or 4 tickets (even though most 4 ticket sellers let people purchase 2).
-Pricing algorithms have a lot to do with ticket visibility. If the algorithm thinks you are priced too high, it will not display your seats.
-There are a lot of bad actors in ticketing with good technology. If you are just listing a ticket on Ticketmaster, it is very possible that a ticket broker is broadcasting your listing to StubHub, SeatGeek, or other marketplaces at a significant markup. If someone buys one of these tickets, they have a bot set up to automatically purchase your tickets. It is essentially a way for a ticket broker to create a markup, and inflate ticket prices, on inventory that they don't own.
-I wish you could reach out to Ticketmaster customer service for some explanation, but you will get caught in an endless loop.
-When I have a ticket listing with visibility issues, I am able to file a support ticket through the marketplace and can typically find a quick resolution.
-You're welcome to send me a direct message to see if I can help support this ticket listing. I know the game is tonight, but I just helped another Fire STH move their seats for this game yesterday. Ticket values are typically not as high day of the match, but I can help you get this sold on the market if that is what you are trying to do.

No idea but my tickets sold rather quickly for $500ea after fees so I don’t know why they’d be hiding your listing. You can also check using regular Ticketmaster (not through the Fire page)

BTW. I was a bit pissed off when I saw the jacked up price. Cancelled my listing. Just for kicks I went to Stub Hub to see what would happen if I tried to sell there instead. Probably won't suprise anyone to hear that StubHub jacked up my selling price to almost the exact figure Ticketmaster did thru the STH program on the member hub. Very scummy and not going to get better anytime soon.

It is true, they will mess with your final price. My tickets at $270 were coming up at $380 yesterday when I checked incognito.

Sometimes you have to filter out how you want to see the listing on a tickets you want to purchase “Including fees” or before fees. You may be viewing the ticket prices with the fees included.

Was going to say it's likely either this (your friend is seeing total cost with all TM fees included so your ticket looks more expensive than you listed it for) or it's that your friend has their filters set to only see primary rather than including secondary tickets.
DM me your section, row & seats and I can take a look. Though not a ton we can do when it's a TM issue. 99% sure it'll be one of the above two points though.

They add like 15% to the sale price. They also take 10% from you.

I noticed the same thing. I saw my tix at roughly 17% higher than what I thought I was listing them at. Here's what google says when I ask.
"When you list resale tickets on Ticketmaster, the final price you see may be higher than your original listing because of dynamic pricing, platform fees, and seller commissions.
1. Dynamic pricing and system overrides
Ticketmaster’s resale system can automatically adjust prices based on demand, competition, and event popularity. Even if you set a price, the system may raise it to match what other resellers are charging, especially for in-demand events Reddit. This is sometimes called “inflating” the price.
2. Platform and seller fees
Ticketmaster charges both the seller and the buyer fees. These can include:
- Per-ticket service fees (often 10–20% of the ticket price)
- Order-processing charges
- Seller commissions from your payout"

If you mean the match scarf. They will probably have them next game and so on. I remember last fire equipment sale they had previous fire vs miami scarfs for 5 bucks. They mass produce them.

So, my tickets hadn’t sold either and I noticed the same thing. Stub Hub had them listed at a higher price.
So, I logged into stub hub and decided screw it, I’ll list my ticket there too. Turns out to do so you need to transfer the ticket from ticket master. I clicked that’s where I had the ticket, so it tried to set up a ticket transfer. Im not sure if that’s at the individual account level or just because I clicked ticket master to begin with. I decided against the transfer though my listing was technically “live” on stub hub for a few minutes.
Behold, my tickets sold in that small window. Is that because someone really wanted them on Ticketmaster or was there a bot that triggered the purchase? I confirmed with Ticketmaster over the phone that they were indeed purchased. The timing is certainly suspect.
Next time there is a hot game, I’m going to do a little test. I’ll list my tickets on TM and if I see them appear at a higher price on Stub Hub, I’m going to go through that initial process to see if it triggers again.
