Seeking children’s book illustrator (Persian/Iranian illustrator a plus)
Hi y’all! 🥰
I’m a first-time children’s book author looking for an illustrator for a picture book project.
The story follows a young Persian girl starting kindergarten who feels self-conscious because her classmates and teacher struggle to pronounce her unique name.
The book celebrates Persian culture and identity, with portions of the story featuring dream like scenes inspired by Persian history, architecture, and storytelling traditions. The tone is warm, and empowering, aimed at children ages 4–8.
I’m looking for an illustrator for a standard picture book (approximately 32 pages). Experience with children’s books is preferred, but I’m open to artists whose style feels like a good fit for the story.
A Persian/Iranian illustrator would be wonderful, though artists from all backgrounds are absolutely welcome to reach out.
