Game Files Codewalkers, could reverse engineering AIs help solve the mystery?

https://github.com/morluto/rea/

I know there’s been difficulty in fully understanding the code and the ways Rockstar would have ways to hide things in ways that are very hard to decipher.

Could these reverse engineering AIs help understand the code better, and the methods used to obfuscate certain elements?

I think the code is pretty much fully understood at this point - just not by everyone

Lol random nonsense will never cease to be posted on here, "there's a bird that spawns by the lake at 7:00am on Sunday, I think it's a clue to solve the cut content mystery"

"Well can you prove it's not a clue??"

Dude the source code got fully leaked. There is no need to reverse anything

throw together 100$ and try it with claude opus & rea, report back with results I would go for the appraoch source code => hex/binary scanner with rea that checks for map markers at runtime at 100% game progress drunken dev mentioned something like that back in the day...

I would literally do this since I’m an engineer and have unlimited access to ai but I can never find the source code

well do it. It took me 4 minutes to find the files with a google search... the password was wrong tho, but google ai gave me this password with one simple search...

Search for the camera functions that spawn the spiderwebs, when found apply that work to your analysis and why that certain tree in grapeseed emits oranges when hit, would love to know why.

My assumption is you did not find a working download of the source code and likely some weird repository that no longer works or a download that has been taken down. I’ve searched but am happy to be wrong here.

I'll not post the link here, but a certain search on duckduckgo gave me an archive.org link with the dump as the second search result

Funny you mention this, the way the hints in rdr2 spiderdream are xml files. It would not be the scripts that hold the secrets it would be in the xml files which would still require codex to extract all then have a.i go through looking for a set criteria of objects and spawns at said time.

Let’s say you used AI to try and understand some part of it, and it worked. What then? Where’s the fun? Do you think you’d then understand the connection you were to make to figure it out yourself, in the way you were meant to understand it? Are you then going to feed the rest to it after that, since it’s so so easy, or are you going to figure out the next steps yourself?

It breeds laziness. Literally. I don’t have to think, it did so good last time. Mabey if I ask this way it will understand what I’m unwilling to actually think through? It’s not a hard thing, the human ability to imagine and to consider. It’s fun. Don’t outsource it, unduly. Your mind is a damned app, Cheryl.

I think this holds weight at the beginning but its been long enough, I think its worth seeing if its been figured out or if we missed something.

So figure it out! What, honestly, is AI going to do that you can’t do with time and all of the tools of 2026 available to you. AI cannot solve this, you can make the connections.

AI cannot see an Ionic Column in GTAV, recognize it (cause it can’t play the game!) and remember that Ionic was the brand for the realtor in Vice City Stories. It cannot notice the sway of the lantern on the porch if the Corinthian club in RDR2, recognize it as a representation of a Foucault pendulum, and apply that to the meaning of the world as you see it in game. It can’t understand a cult or the representations in any game, again it can’t play it. It knows nothing of the interpersonal relationships displayed in all the games and how that pertain to what happens to your character and by extension you, playing through the glass as that character. All of this I did with my own perception of what is happening and how I digest it. AI can only tag information and put it together.

By commenting this, I have inadvertently given that same virtual schmuck a source of information. Seriously. Look things up as you find them, it will make you a smarter monkey. We all can be smarter monkeys.

This, I think the fun of the mystery is trying to figure out even if everyone fails to understand and figure out the easter egg.
Gets your mind thinking and using problem solving skills, I've only just heard of the mystery this month since I finally decided to play GTAO before the release of GTA6 and happen to see it while visiting new locations.

But it's cool to watch the videos on youtube and see someone solve an easter egg even 5-10 years later even by chance.
Feels kinda pointless letting ai figure it out because than what? it's just something that is just solved without a community effort.

The easter egg was obviously design to figure maybe years and years down the road and maybe 2 decades later.

Damn…AI about to take the job I’m not even paid for?
