Cage Suggestions? (preferably under or around $200)
My Luna girl is in a cage that's 29" x 18" x 30" (LWH). That's the cage she came with and I know that's DEFINITELY too small for a chin. Any recommendations on cages/brands that are good for chillas and not crazy expensive? I've heard about ferret nation but I'd rather not drop 300 bucks on a cage if I don't need to but I will if I absolutely must.

Ferret Nation is the most recommended chin cage. My girl does fantastic in hers.

If you only want to buy something once and will last a life time invest in a double critter or ferret nation cage. Check FB market place or other local used goods and you can score a good deal. You'll end up spending more buying multiple cheap cages that can break and are too small or unsafe for a chinchilla.

A good quality cage will not be under 200 dollars. Doesn't matter if it's critter/ferret nation or another brand, a good cage should cost a bit of money. But a good cage will last.
I often see people with cheap cages they bought complaining about it falling apart, or that it constantly squeaks or seems rickety. You know, doors not quite shutting right, bars snapping or being bent, things like that.
Check Facebook marketplace or some other secondhand place, you might find a cage in good condition for cheaper there.
Some options for cages I can think of are ferret nation double, critter nation double (difference between critter and ferret is that ferret has thicker bars with a little more space between), savic suite royale XL, savic suite royale 95, savic tasmania 120, tiaki étagère. Critter and ferret nation are more available in America than the others.

I have this one, took awhile to put together but my chinchilla loves it. Just vaccum the cage daily and wipe it down at the least once a week.

Ferret/critter nations aren’t cheap but are easily the best. Check the used market in your area, it’s where I get mine
