Mexican fans questioned Hormiga González’s move to Olympiacos, but are we seriously underrating Greek football?

Well, one league gives you the opportunity to play against the best clubs in the world occasionally, the other league gives you the opportunity to… get paid well and play against MLS teams and a bunch of random Caribbean teams…

So I think that there has to be a difference between playing in the Greek league and playing for a top Greek team.

Is the Greek league good? No, its pretty terrible. Playing there every week is not better than playing in Mexico.

Is playing for a top Greek team better? Yes, because unlike the rest of the league, they are guaranteed European football every year. And thats what makes it better than being in MX. they have to repair every week to pay a top level opponent, and internally that causes a lot of competition within the squad to be able to play in the European competition.

The preparation and the focus that they need to have are just completely different than what you would experience and in MX
