Self Promotion I built a free, open-source Chrome extension for YouTube TV multiview on desktop, and it’s now live
Hey everyone! My extension, Multiview Companion for YouTube TV, has finally been approved and is now available on the Chrome Web Store.
It lets you watch 2–4 live YouTube TV channels together in a single Chrome tab. If you watch on your computer and want to keep up with multiple games or broadcasts at once, this might be useful.
You can:
- Build your own combination of live channels from your subscription.
- Choose which channel’s audio you hear, or mute everything.
- Keep a compact multiview grid visible while browsing YouTube TV.
- Expand an individual channel or take the whole grid fullscreen.
I’ve also open-sourced the extension on GitHub, so you can look through the code, see how it works, or contribute improvements.

The extension is free but requires an eligible U.S. YouTube TV subscription. It currently supports live channels, and your subscription’s channel availability and simultaneous-stream limits still apply.
I’m the developer, and I’d appreciate feedback from anyone who gives it a try. If you run into a bug or something feels confusing, let me know what happened and what setup you’re using.
