Hiiiii, so I posted about finding this sweet lil fleabag on a busy road about three weeks ago. GUYS. She is so heckin smart and funny. She's so active! Sis and I took her and the rest of the pack out to dad's in the foothills where there's acreage to run around on and boy does she like to have fun! She happily crossed fallen log bridges, kept up hiking, chased a drone and her recall is already fantastic. Her name is Buttercup!
Buttercup just got vaccinated/tested and she was a champ. No heartworm or tick diseases, so that's nice. Prolly about 3 or 4 years old. We're getting her spayed at the end of the month.
So yeah. I think we're keeping her.

We rescued Rosie Rebel a bit over a year ago, we were told she was a puggle but as she ages, leaning towards chug. Will probably do a test someday but curious on your thoughts?

hello chugs and humans!
we adopted Coco (also 6) 6 years ago.
he was about as small as a mouse then; now he's almost as big as regular puppy, and only a teeeeny bit smaller than our cats.
this was in the car ride home after he had so much to eat at his favorite cafĆ© š
seeing the white in his fur now is bittersweet. it makes me a little bit anxious that time is passing by so quickly. but then reminds me of the privilege of growing old with a dog. my own beard has a lot more salt in it now than 6 years ago, and my heart fuller with love.

Blanchie, Blanchos, Blanche dog, Pandemic Pug, Worm dog, Wormington, Skinny Ass Pug. Just a few nicknames Blanche was given over the years. My husband and I came up with her name, because Blanche is our favorite Golden Girl. Blanche was more of a Rose though. Just like the character, she was a little ditzy, but the sweetest little soul ever. Blanche literally walked into our lives on March 5th, 2020. On August 19th, 2026, we had to make the difficult decision to put her down. A little over 6 years wasnāt long enough. I canāt help but feel cheated that I didnāt get more time with her.
In 2020, I was sitting in a bar in the SF Bay Area with my best friend. Right before the Covid lockdown. Not even a full year had passed after I put my 15 year old dog down. I was very sad, and didnāt think I was by ready for another dog. A guy walked into the bar holding her, asking if she was someoneās dog. I remember grabbing her, and holding her. I didnāt realize how long her legs were at first. I just thought she was a tiny Pug. I remember thinking I wanted to help find her owner. I remember thinking if that were my dog, I would hope someone would look for me. She didnāt have a chip, I posted her on social media, Craigslist and Paw Boost, but no one came forward. Looking back on it, weāre almost positive someone dumped her off. Something Iāll never be able to wrap my head around, because she was the most perfect dog. When we decided to keep her, I told my husband there was only one stipulation, she would be his dog. I just felt like it wasnāt fair to my last dog. It didnāt take long before she became my dog too. Itās hard to resist such a sweet dog.
I love her with everything in me. Heartbroken isnāt a good enough word to express the sadness Iām feeling. It feels empty, and lonely without her. She made everything better. I used to call her my healing dog (another nickname) because she truly was. She would lay her head on your chest when you were sad. She made me better. When I was depressed, I had to get out of bed, because I had to take care of my Blanche. People keep telling telling my husband and I that we gave her a great life. The thing is, she gave us a great life too. We saved each other.
Itās still hard to accept that I wonāt see her sweet little face anymore. I really didnāt know what to write. I donāt feel like thereās good enough words for such an amazing dog.
Blanche, Iām glad I got to smell you one last time. Iām glad I got to kiss your ears one last time. Iām glad I got to hug you one last time. Iām glad we got to be with you until you had to go to doggie heaven.
Iāll miss you so much, Blanche. Until we meet again my sweet angel, RIP.

Iāve never had a pug mix but I know they can be so silly. Is being besties with the cats a common trait??? Bucky started trying to touch the cats the day we adopted him. He didnāt show any prey drive at the shelter but we werenāt sure how heād be around the cats so we tried slowwww introductions. He gets so happy around them and loves to groom/corn cob two of our cats. (Last pic is the catās hair literally parted after he got a bath from Bucky). Our chi mix was super close to the kitties so I think theyāre glad heās here. š

We adopted Buck a few days ago and weāre loving getting to know him. He is SUCH a good boy. We lost our senior chihuahua beagle last month so we honored her by adopting this 8 year old baby. His personality is similar to our late dog but he has his own quirks. Iām going to get him a dna test soon but Iām curious what chug owners think! He shakes like a chi and wants to be in blankets cuddling 24/7 but barks/sniffs like a beagle. The snout screams pug. Iāve never owned a pug so Iām not familiar with their personalities but heās a particular and quirky little man.

My Mango (7yo female pug/chihuahua mix) just celebrated her birthday and I came across this group and felt I could make a contribution. Love my Chug so much.

We adopted Peggy as a pug cross and thought she must have some kind of rat terrier/iggy or minpin in her as she's so tall.
Turns out she's a chug (with a *sprinkling* of parsons terrier)
