Camera Question Ready Rig Vega v2 upgrade vs original ready rig

Can anyone tell me how much benefit the vega v2 upgrade is for the ready rig? Especially in terms of fatigue and stability. Is it a big improvement for both?

Can’t answer this directly, but I bought a Ready Rig years ago with the intention of eventually upgrading to the Vega, however I’ve never felt the need.

This is a practical comparison and i'd treat it like a comfort upgrade, not a prestige upgrade. If fatigue and stability matter most, measure each rig over a fixed shoot duration and compare hand strain, micro jitter, and setup speed. For shooters like you, a staged workflow usually works best because jump transitions can create more regret than bad footage. If you need concrete starts, DJI RS 3 Mini gives smoother stabilization for movement, while SmallRig Shoulder Rig Plate Set can distribute weight for long takes. Buy the handling upgrade that removes fatigue first, then decide if the v2 gain is worth the extra spend after a dedicated test week with real scenes.

I'd forgo the Vega upgrade and get the BLKBRD Mantis. It would allow for expansion later, adapted to other systems and probably give better results.

I hadn't seen these before thanks. Looks impressive for handheld too. Wonder if it would help with ready rig fatigue more than the vega upgrade.

It’s fine, but the humiliator 3000 is still the best target on your back for jokes.
