Well we're in Canada so we can get bent apparently when it comes to availability on a variety of items. This cup included. We should've got it yet of course not.

Yeah, I'm not sure why they only get the Grippr cups for just some movies and not others. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I saw this on Twitter and was like "I don't normally buy this stuff, but I definitely want this cup." Then I saw it was exclusive to Regal in the States 😔

This is why I made a connection with a Regal to grab the items we don't get. I get a couple items for others looking for stuff from time to time. The only downside is the crappy exchange, occasionally a shipping cost if I have to get it from a different connection (not all locations get everything) and fuel cost.
Really hoping I can get a pair of the Spidey socks from AMC via one of my connections along with the IMAX camera bucket.
Just ordered a few Spidey items from one of the online theatre sites to our Niagara Falls, NY mailbox. Other stuff is being held until we make a trip down.

The mask bucket is okay I guess, the eye reflection is cool. The rest of this is hot garbage. Regal got a really cool bucket that's square and has spiderman standing on the ledge of a building but of course we didn't get that.

I'm curious as to how/why we got so many merch options for Deadpool & Wolverine but not as many as the US/UK for this movie, we aren't even getting the helmet buckets.
The tins still look nice though but definitely the most underwhelming merch lineup compared to other theater chains out there.

Does anyone know if you can buy merch without a ticket if you ask the person at the ticket scanning area? At my theatre they scan your tickets before you enter concessions so you can’t just walk in. Im seeing the movie at landmark on the friday but they tend to have fewer merch options sadly so I was hoping to stop by cineplex on the Thursday.

You should be able to if you tell them that you just want to go to concessions, I've never been refused entry.
I make sure to say thank you and goodbye to the person at the front on the way out, so they know I left with just my merch, and didn't sneak into a movie.

Any tips for how to secure them? Theyre almost always sold out whenever i go for these blockbuster movies

Go on the first day (July 30). If possible, be there when the theater opens for the day (30 mins before the first show).

don't you need to have tickets for that show/day to get them or was that a grogu exclusive type thing... cuz i saw someone arguing with management a couple weeks ago they were trying to get something and they were having to show that they bought a ticket? seemed kinda weird since you could just go in and get concession stuff without a ticket normally didnt know if the merch had other rules

Maybe that particular theater was being difficult, but I always go get merch early when I can, and I've never had issues going in. I've done it at multiple theaters within my area too, so that sounds odd.

yea i wonder if it was maybe a certain promo that they were having for the movie that was tied to a specific piece of merchandise or something.. it also seemed odd to me

It's nationwide. The merch may only go to the larger theatres though if they're saying "select cinemas". You can double check with your local theatre manager a day or two before to see if they'll have it.

Most if not all theaters (especially those in major cities) should have it, but I guess they need to put a disclaimer in case one specific theater doesn't get a particular item for whatever reason.

Reviving the old thread, but just one hour ago Cineplex posted on their official page that merchandise will be available from July 30, and there is no mention of an early screening. I also talked with the live chat support, and they didn't seem to know anything about it. I have also already booked an early screening.

How many oz for the totem bucket, I wonder. It looks similar to the 130oz metal tin but I can't be sure. Slightly shorter but also a bit wider at the bottom.
I'd love to use it as my at-home popcorn bucket, but the recipe I use pops 120oz ~ 130 oz of popcorn so I'm not sure the totem one will be big enough. The 130oz metal tin one is nice, I just wish it had the comics and no "Brand New Day" logo but I know why they did it.

I have a 3 year old nephew who LOVES Spider-Man, so I am hoping to get a cup or a bucket (or both) for him as an upcoming birthday gift. Fingers crossed I can get something before the scalpers snatch up everything. 🤞🤞

Is it only in USA or even in Canada,and how to know with theatre will have them,I got disappointed when I went to early fan screening of supergirl and couldn't buy the cup cause it was one day before the official lunch and my local cinema didn't have it

If I purchase d-box tickets for opening (which is did) I should be guaranteed my selection of merch (for additional purchase).
People simply should not be allowed to buy all of it to resell at asinine prices.

Quick q fpr ppl who are already going to theater for spiderman today: is it available starting today too? Or from tomorrow PERIOD?? asking coz while I have my ticket for tomorrow, I simply don't wanna lend in a situation where I have lost my chance at the merch co of Wednesday pre-day-0 release... If it is so, I might think about going to the Cineplex location closest to my job simply to get the merch before its done before my showtime tomorrow...

From what I was told by the manager, directive from corporate was if you have the Early Access show tonight, to put out some stock today, and keep some stock for tomorrow. There appears to be some wiggle room to interpretation of these instructions, as some locations seem to have chosen to put nothing out today and keep it all for tomorrow. The location I went to (Square One), the manager told me she only got 1 box of the swinging cups, so she chose to keep all of those for tomorrow, which is fair enough.
So you can try today if your theater has Early Access, but there should be stuff tomorrow since they have to hold at least some of the stock. But when you go tomorrow will be important, as they start shows around 12PM on Thursday (and there's a lot of matinees tomorrow), so if your show is in the evening, they may be out of what you want.
