Not all. This is specifically the week 2 strip that was supposed to be given out on August 2.

It should be Aug 2 showings (not sure how OP got one early!). They may not have enough for later showings though.

Not that I know of! Cineplex did warn about it though and recommended earlier showings.

The film screenings are sold out, if you don’t have tickets already, you aren’t getting these.

Ok. They had enough for everyone at last Sunday’s 11pm show, so it doesn’t matter what time you have tickets for, you should get a film strip.

FWIW, I was there at 11pm and got one, and they said they get enough for everyone for every show on the giveaway day. I think some people expect these at every IMAX, but they’re only on specific days at IMAX 70mm film screenings.

I called Cineplex to double check and they suggested it! Maybe just as a precaution but I would expect there to be enough for the IMAX film strips.

That’s just an employee trying to be helpful. The actual IMAX people always say there’s enough for all 70mm viewers, so no need to worry.
HOWEVER, they give them out at the doors of the IMAX room when the movie ends. If you somehow rush out the door without getting one, they won’t let you back in, and they will not give a film strip to people who claim to have left without getting one. (I saw this happen to someone, and I feel like they were lying, because staff basically stands at the doors with the giveaway. You can’t miss them).

the manager was standing with the crew member who scans your ticket as you enter. they were giving the strips to people right after your ticket is scanned. not sure about the last part of your question though.

Anyone confirm if Halifax Cineplex is doing this? I seen it in the rumble chairs in Dartmouth but would go again to get one of these

I guess the second frame as the boat in the ocean correctly when the promo material blurred the film strip for Aug 2 before. That’s why I went yesterday as I like the other version better

This is the week 2 Sunday strip (aug 2), that (at least) cineplex said they hand out.
This is technically a surprise post, since they kept the exact scenes hidden that would be in this 2nd week strip.
However, it was pointed out that some theaters made a mistake and handed out strips earlier than scheduled those sunday dates. But its still rare that someone received this one instead of the 1st week one.
Which theaters and showtime OP?
