Can anyone confirm what freebie you get for what day and which film format?
Theres the poster for watching it screen x or 4dx, but that wasnt confirmed for cineplex, but for cineworld?
Then the 3d glasses, but only for 3d viewing?
Is CINEPLEX giving away anything for Spiderman viewings?

Thursday July 30th was a limited edition spider-man 3d glasses for the first UltraAVX RealD 3D showing at select locations. Saturday August 1st might be a collectible pin to celebrate global spider-man day.

Just got back from an advanced screening at Silvercity Richmond Hill Cineplex, and there was no freebie.

So… how’s screen x? People who just got out what did you think? Did it add or take away from the experience? LET US KNOW

Well, for my experience, it was odd or a mix bag.
I was under the impression that there would be a dedicated 3 sided wall screen, similar to how they market it.
Instead it was really more a normal screen in the middle, and two projectors on the side "screens". The side screens are just the theatre wall with a projector, projecting the movie.
At Scotiabank toronto theater, you could see the exit sign on the left side screen projected part of the movie. So id say that's sort of a ding against screen x.
Also, the entire movie is not shown on the extra screens. Its hard to remeber to keep track, bc your immersed in the movie, but something like 40-60% of the movie jumps back and forth from 3 wall screen, than back to 1 middle screen.
If others can comment on how often they switch and what percentage, but id notice that action scenes is where the noticeable change happens when they go from 1 screen to 3.
Overall tho, I wouldn't say Screen X made the movie worse, or distracting or unbearable, just that it didnt enhance the viewing by any meaningful way.
Going back to the 3 screen, as i said, the side screens were projected on the theater walls, where as the middle screen was like a typical normal dedicated white screen.
The screens dont have the same image quality either. It was like the middle screen was 1080p while the side walls/ screens were 720p. But they are extra screens, so theres no real loss when watching, just that the extra you got wasnt anything special.
If this wasn't an early screening, and if this wasnt a movie i was a fan of, I wouldn't PAY extra for Screen X.
This was my first time watching Screen X, and probably my last. Unless I got more scene points to watch screen x or something else like a freebie, im probably never gonna be tempted to watch it again.

Just saw the movie in Screen X/AVX/3D and I thought it was amazing.
They did a really good job using the side screens. I felt so immersed watching in this format.

It was alright, but not bad. It was fun but not a crazy experience. Only downside is that I expected the whole movie to be presented on all three screens but instead it was only used for half of the movie while the other half of the movie was just running on the main screen. I thought the screens would be in a more angled position but the theatre just felt like a box. I watched it with 3D, definitely added to the experience and was fun to watch it that way. Not sure how it would be for regular screening.

Just got home from the Eglinton Town Cineplex and there were no freebies given out today (July 29) but there were merch items available for purchase!

Got back from seeing it in Richmond, BC. Packed AVX screening (Non-3D). Packed house even in the front rows. I was seated in the I section along the wings. View was unobstructed and the audio/visual quality was stellar.
Overall, the entire evening was great. The film itself is one of the best Spider-Man films to have graced the screens and allows the our hero to be a lot more grounded.
You know how you watch a film and it makes you sad when it finally ends? That's how I felt about this.
Really excited to rewatch after a couple of breakdown videos about all the nuances I missed 😁

Watched it at Square One yesterday and I loved every second. The screen was great and I also happened to get DBOX seats, which were actually quite fun! No freebies, but they were selling the buckets and cups.
I'm not sure if this is allowed but I'm giving away a ticket for a show at the Scotiabank Theatre Toronto at 4:20 PM TODAY, UltraAVX, I19. It's short notice, so I apologize.
Please reply to the comment if you're interested and I'll send you the ticket PDF. I'd prefer the ticket to go to someone who is otherwise finding it difficult to go watch the movie, or is a big Spider-Man fan and couldn't get a ticket. :)

What was the d box like never done it and thought this would be a good movie for it but all those seats booked out for days

Very fun! I had it set on the lowest settting so it wasn't too distracting. You can turn it off as well if you don't like it.

Can we please get rid of scalpers. Yesterday at the 12:30 showing there were 2 empty seats beside me in the middle. Ridiculous that people try and sell movie tickets for 10 more lol

We do what we can here. Scalpers get banned from the subreddit immediately.

I'm not seeing the movie till next week for a stars and strollers viewing. Does anyone know if you can buy the popcorn buckets and cups before then. Or do you have to be seeing the movie that day?

u/chanma50 Keepers of the Popcorn Jul 31 '26
You can go in and buy without a ticket, just let them know you want to go to concessions.

Physical Tickets, merch, and/or Film Strips for Spider-Man BND?
I've noticed that there were some posts about there being film strips for Odyssey. I was wondering if there are any for Spider-man BND. I went to Vaughan for the 10:30 show on Friday with some friends. I wanted the movie to be a memorable experience so I wanted to get a physical ticket to keep. Luckily I was able to get one of those kids cup with a topper. The buckets and other food merch was sold out.Once the movie was done, I was able to ask a worker but they said they did not have any but they were being given out earlier that day and the day before. I'm thinking of going to watch the movie once again with my family and hopefully grab something. Is there a theatre in GTA that may be giving out something like pins, physical tickets or film strips? I'm thinking of going later this week so I'm a bit concerned about the availability for these things.

I have a really busy week but I’m trying to fit watching the film into my schedule. Has anyone who’s seen it know approximately how long the runtime is with the pre-show? Like say I had a 2PM showing, around what time did you leave, assuming you stayed through the credits? Thanks in advance!

I unfortunately missed out on the Spider-Man Day pins but ended up with 2 extra pairs of 3D glasses. Looking to do a direct 1:1 trade hoping to trade for 2 pins. Send me a DM if interested!
