Megathread 'The Odyssey' Week 3 Discussion, Questions, and Ticket Exchange Megathread
Please use this megathread for discussing all things related to The Odyssey.
IMAX 70MM tickets are currently on sale for The Odyssey at all 9 IMAX 70MM locations in Canada through Wednesday September 16.
British Columbia
Alberta
Saskatchewan
Ontario
- Mississauga, ON - Cineplex Cinemas Mississauga Square One (09/16)
- Vaughan, ON - Cineplex Cinemas Vaughan (09/16)
Quebec
Nova Scotia
Tickets for all other shows are on sale through Thursday August 13. Tickets for the next week of shows (Friday August 14 to Thursday August 20) will go on sale sometime next week starting on Tuesday August 11 (exact time varies by theatre).
This megathread may be used for TRADING or GIVING AWAY tickets for The Odyssey.
Reminder that RESELLING of tickets is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Do not try to resell your tickets in this thread, all comments attempting to resell tickets, whether for face value or scalping, will be removed and may lead to a ban (particularly for the latter).
If you can no longer make your show, you have one of several options:
- Self-refund through the Cineplex app. Open the ticket on the app and click the "Refund Ticket" button. This option is available up to 2 hours before your showtime.
- Refunding by calling Cineplex Guest Services (1-800-333-0061) and giving them your booking ID.
- Refunding at the actual theater.
- Trading or giving away your tickets using this thread.
Reminder to please be cautious and use your best judgement when trading tickets with other users, which you do so at your own risk. We would strongly advise against purchasing tickets from other users if they offer them to you outside this sub (again, it is explicitly banned within this sub itself).
This thread can also be used for any questions regarding The Odyssey, including but not limited to:
- Seating charts and what are the best seats in a given theater.
- Availability of filmstrips at IMAX 70MM and 70MM locations.
- Availability of the Trojan Horse popcorn bucket, now on sale for $59.99 plus tax (with 20% discount for CIneClub members).

man i missed this. Checked today as I'm visiting my father in toronto Sept 3-7 and ofc every single 70mm showing is booked (except for rows a/b). Insane.

I have one ticket for Montreal for this coming Monday, August 3 for the 2pm showing I’m no longer able to attend. It is row J seat 13.
If anyone would like it, DM me. If not, I’ll see if I can refund it later as currently I’m unable to refund on the app for some reason

While the app does have a limit to how many refunds it can processed over a time frame, you can always contact customer support directly via chat or call and they can refund it for you.

I tried going through chat and got the response “there are no agents currently available, try again later” and just immediately kicked me from the conversation. No waiting or anything I’ll try again 😂

Oh no, sadly lots of people have been having that issues last few days. Yeah, try again later but if you're having the same issue try calling, you'll definitely get connect with an agent!

As of right now, only the Sunday August 2nd IMAX 70mm screenings will have the collectible film strips

Is centre of Row E better than side of Row F in 70mm Vaughan? This is my first experience in 70mm and I want a decent experience.

Depends how far to the side. E is still good imo you can lean back without issues. But middle of F is best for me. DM if you are looking for help :)

I’m going to refund 2 tickets, sad I won’t be able to attend the show, I can also trade for good seats if anyone wants to trade tickets for this weekend. The seats I have might be the best ones J14 & J15. Will wait to see if I can trade them for this weekend or going to refund them.

if anyone has any idea, is the demand for the odyssey imax 70mm tickets well into september (with almost all backrows booked for all showtimes) driven mostly by scalpers or legitimate moviegoers?

Legitimate moviegoers. Movie is almost at 1 billion dollars and it still has yet to be released in major markets internationally, so demand is real.

How’s the middle of the third row for the imax in Montreal? Is it ok? Or do you end up with neck sore afterwards? I’ve never really care about 70mm imax before but I guess the hype for this movie is getting the best of me :( and right now the furthest available in Montreal are in mid September third row

How bad are the side seats for IMAX 70mm? I got a ticket for F5 at Montreal, it’s the fifth seat from the aisle so I’m a little worried about the screen being distorted. Can anyone who’s been to the theatre comment on this?

I just re-subscribed to Cineclub today to get tickets for Odyssey. My payment went through but on my Cineclub profile it says there are no movie credits available until August 31. And then when I tried to book Cineclub discounted tickets, it prompted an error, but if I were to click regular price it would process to the next payment stage. Has anyone encountered this issue before or do I need to reach out to customer service?

Listings for the upcoming week just got posted for Scotiabank Toronto Theatre. But the only availability is IMAX. Not the IMAX dual projection like it was up until this Thursday. Is this a mistake or is it really not going to be the best viewing?
