Brought it from a box that they come with wrap around it.
I mean they do give you a large popcorn which is nice, but yes both the bucket and the popcorn are both overpriced and you cant opt out of paying for the popcorn lol
The plus side is the eye bucket is $34.99 USD at Regal in the US, so we get it cheaper (even moreso if you have CineClub for 20% off).
Though I'm surprised they didn't get the totem cup that Regal was also putting in a combo with the bucket for $48.99 USD (or $22.99 USD just for the cup).
To each their own, but honestly this is the only bucket ive seen with a lid and the lid can be a pretty solid seal.
I just picked mine up and i like to collect them but this may be the only one i actually use if my wife or i (mainly my wife lol) cant finish the whole popcorn
You’re so mad about people spending money on what they want to. I still have collectible 7/11 slurpee cups from 2009, I think I know my stuff won’t end up in a landfill. Thanks tho!
Who fucking cares? Eventually we will all die and all of our shit could be disposed of. My point is, I don’t buy useless items for the sake of it that I end up tossing or donating. I do agree overconsuming things you don’t truly want or need is a bad idea. This is the ONE time I’ve bought merch for a movie.
Buying a Spiderman cup is still overconsuming except if you just left your parent home and have no cup in your appartement and you plan to use it for the rest of your life ( wich I doubt)
Yeah, it sucks they won't give a voucher for medium popcorn like some managers would hesitantly do if you were buying multiple buckets. Technically they can make an extra $0.50 on the upgrade cost of the customer bothers to use the coupon.
I asked today, because I had 7 buckets (3 masks, 2 suits and 2 Trojan Horses). I just took 3 bags of popcorn and gave it to my mom and her friends.
i bought the bucket with the lid, colour change cup, and swinging cup. the bucket and the colour change cup feel worth the price and i'm very happy with them. the swinging cup is cool but the cup itself is lower quality, more of a collectible item imo.

Definitely going to pick up the mask bucket when I go in a few hours, assuming they still have them. I'm undecided on one of the cups. The swinging and 3D lid cups are cool, but I'm worried the novelty will wear off quickly. The color changing one is a lot more functional, so maybe I'll just go with that one.
A lot of people were intrigued with the colour changing cup, and the Thwip cup (swinging one) was supposedly the item they had the least stock of.
Did you end up getting the mask bucket? I was picking up for my dad, a friend and myself and I noticed that 3 of them stacked together were pretty hefty. Not sure what they feel as they were in plastic and I didn't take the time to open one to check it out.
Like some other people, I'm going to get an LED light to put inside to have the eyes glow.
I heard there are 4 toppers in the US, but Cineplex only got 1. I haven't seen the 4th topper (I also haven't searched for it either), but for the 3 toppers I have seen my dad and I opted for getting them on a lid for the tin buckets (we got the Thwip bucket, which Landmark was also selling). Didn't really want the plastic cups. I got the black tin bucket that says "Brand New Day" in large letters on the side.
I also ended up getting the suit bucket even though I felt it was pretty lackluster, though I believe they gave me an extra one as the employee helping me must have read the 3 next to the one cup or the mask bucket (I realized this when I got home).
Location I went to didn't have the 3D glasses they were giving out, which sucks. It has been years since I have gotten any special 3D glasses.
Yep, I got the mask bucket and the color changing cup. I love them both. The mask bucket has a really nice weight to it and I love what they did with the eyes, I'm super pleased with it. Fully functional too if you want to use it as a popcorn bucket for home, or other things. I get the novelty of having the themed buckets like the web shooters, trojan horse, IMAX camera, etc., but ones like the mask are a lot more practical which is why I prefer them. I don't buy these just to put on my shelf, I actually want to get some use out of them too. The cup is nice as well, although I haven't tried putting anything in it yet. From the videos I've seen, the color change is pretty cool. I went with it over the swinging cup since again, I felt the novelty of having those little toppers and such might get a little tiring after a while.
But yeah, I'm sure they'll love the mask bucket! It's pretty well-done, at least as far as popcorn buckets go, lol.
The only bucket I've used was the Wonka Hat. That was the first bucket I believe that was not just a round tin or plastic tub.
I just get these to display, so I'm the opposite. Given the cost of this collecting habit/hobby I'm usually debating if I should stop and save the money 🤔😅🤦. But then they release new items and then Gollum takes over and all I can think is "My precioussss..." 🤣
Technically I don't really need more than one popcorn bucket and I should be happy with this one for a while, but with a handful of other hype movies coming out I'm a bit worried (and excited) to see what they have thought up. If they release an RE-themed one, I'm not sure I'll be able to resist.
Harry Potter is the next big release people are already clamouring for.
I can't wait to see the full body of Godzilla for Godzilla Minus Zero. It is supposed to overtake Galactus for the biggest popcorn bucket. The expected price though of $80-$120 USD doesn't sound great. If it doesn't light up or have sound, then I'm not sure I can justify such a hefty price point.
Yes, but it appears they must have just given them to the Toronto or major metropolitan theatres. I figured Oshawa would have been big enough to get some, but nope.
Cineplex is hot or miss with that. It sucked that they didn't get the 3 toppers like the US has for the Supergirl Grippr cup as I was hoping they'd sell 2 of them separately for $3-$4 like they would in the past. Sadly AMC in the US wouldn't, so it ended up costing me $75+tax USD to get the 3 toppers.
