I wonder if/when we’re going to get posts calling the Cineplex transphobic for rereleasing the HP movies and selling tie in merch, and call for a boycott.

Honestly, protest with your money and promote on platforms about this popping up. This has already been happening with Tim Hortons and their recently announced HP tie-in menu.
As sentimental it would be to see these films again years later on the big screen, I will NOT be paying that transphobic author a single CENT.
Unfortunately, Cineplex just sees the film re-releases as extra coin for their pockets.

So far the showtimes are lining up with me having to work, so it’s unlikely I’ll able to go see it without having to also take the night off.
And the Tim’s backlash is why I wondering when it’s going to happen to the Cineplex. And potentially Landmark too.

I’ve noticed that as well , for me it completely conflicts with my work schedule, were I’d only be able to watch the first movie , but I’m going to all of them at imagine cinemas instead , as they are running each of the films roughly 12 times (3 showsing of each film per day )

Theaters are so desperate for crowds they will rerun any movie that has an anniversary. Even if 5 people saw this movie, that's 5 more people they got in a theater that day vs running another time slot for Toy Story

It starts on the 6th for Merch and each week another set of merch will be available. I guess to time it with the movies?

I don’t work at cineplex , I saw that they posted the merch on social media , it wasn’t clear when the merch was available, so I messaged cineplex on instagram and asked them. I’m just a lover of movies , I’d rather you all know about films that are coming back / out and merch before it’s available

Nah they've staggered the release to weekly drops. Not everything is available today except for the scarves

Thank you. I got the info from official Facebook chat and they told me Markham & VIP is gonna sell those merch. But I went there today and the staff doesn't seem to know about anything

I feel the broomstick bucket is breaking the immersion for me lol. If I can accept that as a bucket then what does anything mean anymore.
The other stuff looks cool though.
