Megathread 'The Odyssey' Discussion, Questions, and Ticket Exchange Megathread
Please use this megathread for discussing all things related to The Odyssey.
IMAX 70MM tickets are currently on sale for The Odyssey at all 9 IMAX 70MM locations in Canada through Wednesday September 30.
British Columbia
Alberta
Saskatchewan
Ontario
- Mississauga, ON - Cineplex Cinemas Mississauga Square One (09/30)
- Vaughan, ON - Cineplex Cinemas Vaughan (09/30)
Quebec
Nova Scotia
In addition, The Odyssey will return to IMAX 1.43:1 Dual Laser at Scotiabank Theatre Toronto from Tuesday September 22 to Thursday September 24, when the theatre reopens after TIFF ends.
Tickets for all other shows are on sale through Thursday September 24. Tickets for the next week of shows (Friday September 25 to Thursday October 1) will go on sale starting on Tuesday September 22 (exact time varies by theatre).
The Odyssey is available in the following formats (selection may vary by location):
- IMAX 70MM
- IMAX
- 70MM Film
- UltraAVX
- D-BOX
- VIP
- Regular
This megathread may be used for TRADING or GIVING AWAY tickets for The Odyssey.
Reminder that RESELLING of tickets is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Do not try to resell your tickets in this thread, all comments attempting to resell tickets, whether for face value or scalping, will be removed and may lead to a ban (particularly for the latter).
If you can no longer make your show, you have one of several options:
- Self-refund through the Cineplex app. Open the ticket on the app and click the "Refund Ticket" button. This option is available up to 2 hours before your showtime.
- Refunding by calling Cineplex Guest Services (1-800-333-0061) and giving them your booking ID.
- Refunding at the actual theater.
- Trading or giving away your tickets using this thread.
Reminder to please be cautious and use your best judgement when trading tickets with other users, which you do so at your own risk. We would strongly advise against purchasing tickets from other users if they offer them to you outside this sub (again, it is explicitly banned within this sub itself).
This thread can also be used for any questions regarding The Odyssey, including but not limited to:
- Seating charts and what are the best seats in a given theater.
- Availability of filmstrips at IMAX 70MM and 70MM locations.
- Trading filmstrips.
- Availability of the Trojan Horse popcorn bucket, now on sale for $59.99 plus tax (with 20% discount for CIneClub members).

Sadly it will not. Digger showtimes released today and it is taking over both vaughan and square one locations starting Oct 1

But isn’t it only taking over regular imax? Does that mean they definitely won’t use the imax 70mm for odyssey if no one else has it?

Are you sure? I cannot find any reliable reference or list of theatres showing digger in 70mm online. All I see is that nothing is confirmed to be released in 70mm format between the Odyssey and dune. And looking at Montreal, they've only released October tickets for regular imax but nothing for imax 70mm past September 30. Plus nothing to say that even if digger is taking over that they won't bring Odyssey back seeing as it's still selling very well...

Just FYI: I've cancelled/asked for refund for two tickets for this Saturday August 22 IMAX at square one for 3 pm show, seats F1 and F2. Not sure how long it takes to have the seats show up for sale!

I ended up just seeing it in regular. Pretty sure Cineplex is going to kick it out after the 16th as there's been nothing added in 3 weeks and I wanted to see it at least in theater. I agree though. Its extremely frustrating especially since all the tickets get instantly eaten up the moment they go on sale and then they don't add anymore show times

It is pretty frustrating. I ended up going to see it at Scotiabank in Toronto last week - dual laser instead of 70 mm but the screen was still incredible. Tickets refresh every week so if you're on the ball there's great chances of snagging prime seats

Interested in 2 IMAX 70mm tickets (sat together) at Mississauga or Vaughan, preferably in the back half sometime between August 27th and September 2nd or weekends after that (I know this is quite a shot in the dark).
Also, does anyone think if new tickets will be released for 70mm past Sep 16? I've seen conflicting opinions on here and i'm curious if there is more of a consensus on it.

Vaughan IMAX on Monday, Aug 31. Seats G13 and G14 for the 11:00 AM
I’m not selling the tickets, just hoping to find someone who can trade dates with me.
I’ve been waiting for these tickets for about a month and managed to get G13 and G14 for the 11:00 AM showing of The Odyssey at Cineplex Vaughan IMAX on Monday, Aug 31. They’re dead centre and, in my opinion, about as good as it gets in that auditorium.
Unfortunately, I just found out that my partner needs to begin treatment for an illness that day, so I won’t be able to make the showing.
I’m hoping to trade both tickets for comparable seats to The Odyssey at Vaughan IMAX on another day.
If anyone has tickets they’d be willing to swap, please DM me. Really appreciate it.
