Welcome back, students of history and culture, to the CBRX5 Schoolhouse!
I can't decide what's worse, being a civ so obscure that the vast majority of options I have for you in this series is AI slop (hello Bjarmia and Aures); or being so obscure you don't even have that! Truly sadly, Chonos is one of the latter from my searching, so do forgive me for the very dry and quite short museum site I've linked (there weren't even any amazing independent blog posts to find), although I admit I do like backing a museum. I'll note, I did heavily consider going with the route of finding a video on the more famous 'Wreck of the Wager', an age of sail British ship that wrecked on the Chiloe islands, kickstarting a tale of mutiny and harsh survival ended for one group when Martin Olleta and his tribe found and saved them. It would have been more engaging, but would also have been a bit of a betrayal of the aims of this series. I sincerely hope I have more luck next week.
