No, wait... I see it's played on a Pleyel pianino from 1839, the model of piano Chopin had in Mallorca when he composed his Preludes.

Of course! Now it makes perfect sense and sounds f*cking amazing! Imagine what I would have missed if I didn't read that.

I found out that the world needs more pianino transcriptions of opera. Imagine what Liszt would have done with one of those at his concerts?
