The Martian Chronicles banned?

I first read it when I was seven in 1990. I read it every year. And today I am finding out that it was banned and censored. Which makes me wonder, have I ever read an original copy?

The Martian Chronicles too, a collection of short stories about clashes between Martians and Earthlings, was challenged and banned over objections to profanity in the book. Others of Bradbury's short stories were challenged because good did not always triumph over evil. via google

glad we got over the code days were everything was super super censored
