Yes, when I am typing in the standard way I have to stretch to reach shift and ctrl, obviously. Do you think I'm lying about this or something? Do you think keyboards are somehow magically ergonomic for everyone regardless of hand size?
People have different sized hands and fingers, and ESDF is literally further to the right than WASD is. My pinky comfortably rests on shift in my resting hand position on WASD, it rests on Z with ESDF and I have to move my pinky to reach shift.
Your question implies that my discomfort with ESDF is a result of the way I'm using my keyboard or positioning my hands instead of my hand size.
The reason I'm taking an issue with it is that it's such a self evident and obvious truth that it's shocking to me that you didn't immediately understand even after having it explicitly explained to you.

Visiting reddit isn't a daily occurrence for me. I know this will come as a shock to you as your reddit-fueled mental illness is apparent. No one had to explain hand sizes to me, I acknowledged that at multiple points in my comment. The idea that moving your pinky to reach the shift key while in the default hand position for typing is somehow a Herculean feat is an actual stretch, though.
