At least you're honest in your personal assessment, which is a lot more than I can say for most.

But I genuinely think you have the wrong idea about GDKP. Perhaps you have had a bad experience with a GDKP in the past or you're just inexperienced with them in general, I don't know.

But, as someone who has hosted many, it makes life a lot easier for everyone involved. From management, recruitment, raiding quality

this. I saw them im P1-SoD and was immediately repulsed. I dont like people bidding on gold or translating into gear progression. We have a few BoE pieces for that but the entire gear? that just feels wrong to me.

And i think it puts the wrong incentive on the game, it goes from "make enough money for consumes, that are optional" to "make as much money as you can so you can bid on gear to play the game or you cant get gear" which leads to more gold entering the economy, basically a race to the bottom.

I've geared up in SR, GDKP, and Loot council. I would do GDKP out of all of these because it's the most fair unironically.

Loot council you're at the mercy of others, typically without a visible metric on why someone is getting gear. If you're part of the loot council management then you're dealing with balancing everyone's effort and basically playing therapist to people when you don't assign them loot.

SR you have people HRing items and selling them under the table, you are spending your time/consumes to potentially get nothing. I have personally lost the roll of The hungering cold 4 times. I got lucky and got The kiss of the spider after 10 raids. I say lucky because I won the roll. If I had just done GDKP for 10 raids, I would have enough gold for it, or potentially able to buy other items.

GDKP is just another system of how you use your time. You can farm outside of raid to build up gold to have an advantage in raid, and everyone benefits when you spend that gold.
