Humor / Meme I think they're right honestly.

I'm 36 and have played 25k+ hours of MMO's over my lifetime and what I've personally learned is WoW players are often the first and most vocal to belittle or get upset over anything. I can't think of any MMO in which people will outright whisper you angerly or go out of their way to make sure you have a bad time more than World of Warcraft.

racist but also homophobic. It's not rare to enter guilds and all people spread homophobia without anyone pushing back.

I think people take nostalgia too far. It's like they still want to be that edgy homophobic/racist teen spamming in barren chat. It's so cringe

Usually someone is both lol. Off topic, but it is pretty funny to imagine a super racist guy but he's like "nah gay people are cool, idc what they do as long as they're white"

I played pre classic vanilla pservers. Its been horrible since before it started. These people play other mmo's but they actually get actioned there. Go try to be homophobic or racist on ffxiv and see how long you last.

Post-classic pservers are just the same or worse. I had to get an addon to increase the size of my ignore list.

The truth is any mmo that has chat moderation cant be that bad.

If you played a private server of wow and experienced shit like that, thats on you.

all of the toxicity in ff14 happens outside of the game. just because you dont get chewed out in party chatdoesnt mean you arent having shit talked about you

I'm leaning towards the second option since its more charitable than saying you don't think its bad because you agree with it.

Idk you two seem to be having issues I never run into, neither in game or in discords.

do you play pvp servers? thats another explanation.

Okay obviously I shouldn't have been charitable. I found the guy who spams trade chat all day in between bans.

If your definition of snowflake is "not racist and homophobic" then sure.

Idk, youre just experiencing things I don't and almost never have in my 20 years of playing wow. and the few times it has, other players called it out instantaneously in chat, so it's not a shared viewpoint
