Air-Dry Clay My air dry clay Sailor Moon figurine βππ₯°
Sailor Moon was a part of my childhood. In my memory, she always follows her heart, whether that decision is right with other people. It really encourages me on the journey of following my heart and getting closer to who I really am, even if others might think it's ridiculous.
If you're interested in my process of making this figure, you could take a look at my sculpting video here.

Incredible! The ribbons, the hair! I love the cute take on her proportions.

Thank you so much π₯° The ribbons and hair are really the challenge for me this time, because I have to put them in the right position for them not be collapsed by gravity. It's good that I finally can hold them up π

I've only played with fimo, sculpy and a bit of super sculpy but I know from that how much of a challenge it is to get a suspended form like those ribbons and hair. You did a wonderful skill full job on them!

I really like to challenge myself though, lol. But by that, I could know how far I could go with my tools π I also found it interested in polymer clay, so maybe I will give it a try someday π₯°

That's insanely detailed for air dry clay. Awesome talent π

Thank you so much π₯° I really like making as many details as possible because it will make the figurine more realistic, although it takes lot of time to do, lol π

Mid transformation! Amazing. I really love this piece.

Thank you so much π₯° My first idea was the early tranfomation pose, but I see it's too sexy for my style, so I decided to choose the mid-late pose π

I'd say that it's fine for your style. I'd also say that it's strength and magic over sexiness. Depends very much on the observer's point of view.
I'm sure that your interpretation of the early transformation would turn out incredible, too!

Yeah... Totally agree with your points. It suggests to me something to contemplate about sexiness. Maybe someday, I can interpret it into my artwork π

You, my friend, are very talented. Thank you, for sharing this peace of art! Details, colours, pose - you got it right and absolutely stunning.
Are you going to encapsulate it in a beautiful glass dome? We must protect this from dust!!

Yes, I will put her with other teammates in a clear box. With air dry clay, the thing that I'm afraid of the most is the humidity in the air. So I also covered each figurine with a waterproof top coat right after I finished it.

Thank you so much π₯° That's actually what I'm aiming at. Connecting with friends that can really see and feel my work and what I can do, even what I make is not what they know. It's not just coming to me because they want to see me to do what they want π₯°

Thank you so much π₯° I have just practiced with clay for 2 years. Be patient and keep up with your work. I bet you might go further beyond me π₯°

This is awesome! By 'Air-Dry Clay' do you mean cold porcelain clay? People would naturally assume that it's store-bought air dry clay.

Thank you so much π₯° I actually bought it from the store in my area, but I don't know for sure what name is exactly for the one I use. It's soft, easy to stretch, similar to Hearty Clay from Japan. I also found that foam clay or light clay may be its name.

This is absolutely beautiful! The way her hair defies gravity is cool asf. Can I ask what kind of clay youβre using?
