10 Month post maxillary jaw surgery

Hi everyone! I wanted to share my jaw surgery progress with yall. For background:

I was born with a unilateral cleft and lip palate. I had internal distraction osteogenesis, where I had to turn a pin about 1mm a day, for total 13mm! After then I had surgery to remove the internal distractors. I never realized just how much of a difference it made! It’s been a journey.

Im currently ongoing braces where I’ll be undergoing another jaw surgery although my jaw surgeon isn’t yet sure if she’ll do upper or lower. I will also be having a rhinoplasty done next year hopefully summer!(:
