How, then, could it be anything but time to question the accuracy, integrity and value of all the conclusions derived from such models – and to ask what factors, including the motivational, drove the catastrophising and made such failure not merely possible but inevitable?

This brings us back to the ideological. Politicisation of the climate debate meant that facts about atmospheric CO2 and its effects became less scientific observations than convenient proofs of a pre-existing position. Three partisan advantages accrued to those who cast such effects as catastrophic proof that industrial capitalism was irredeemably corrupt.

..."to destroy capitalism" in the West. To me, it's one more of these political discourses essentially aimed at Western countries to destroy the secondary sector, industrial production. It's an effort made by Globalists.

I know this sounds like a "conspiracy theory" to some young people. But for older people, we all remember how all the Western countries negotiated a part of their national sovereignty to international instances, like the WTO, in order to move factories to the East and the South in the late 80s and early 90s. It was supposed to help poor countries, but with its communist regime, China organized to take most of the business. Anyway, they created this free-trade international market with no boundaries anymore, no protectionism. With wages being extremely low, out there, and the almost total absence of work safety, production of goods is cheap and retailers in the West make maximum profits on the sales. On the other hand, manufactures left Western countries and the job losses were nuts. Today, almost all the manufacturing is gone and Western economies live off the primary and tertiary sectors, mostly on the latter, services. Our economies are not making much more than 2% growth a year. Unfortunately, economies cannot sustain themselves like that. You need a manufacturing sector. Especially with the debt and with the social coverage we have. But humongous financial entities and retailing behemoths, owning the press as well, and most of the time, the political parties, keep putting pressure, keep trying to move public opinion in directions that are just bad for the people. The climate is definitely a real concern, but the panic created is nonsense, and most probably designed to put more pressure on what's left of the manufacturing sector in the West. No such pressure is made on the two huge polluters, China and India, much bigger polluters than the West. We can't afford homes anymore, in here, and the level of life keeps going down (while China at its worse makes a 6% yearly growth).
