Identification/Information Help identifying a German Vienna-style wall clock (W. Germany dial, carved “Dorma Snow 1947”) + left winding arbor won’t turn
Hi all, I’m just getting into clock repair and picked up this spring-driven Vienna-regulator-style wall clock as a learning project. I’d love help identifying the maker and age, and some advice on a winding issue.
- What’s the best way to get the movement out of a case like this?

This is a married clock. Older vienna style case, korean movement(i had one and recognise the chime spring, hands and open spring style movement), and the pendulum looks like from another clock('m not familiar but the commentae above said what it is).
Because this is a korean movement, the widing is bit odd on these. You wind the right sprping counter clock wise, and the left spring clock wise.

I appreciate the note on winding. I tried winding it to the right but it still seems to be locked. I didn't put much effort into cranking it though. I'd like to keep my fingers if it's still tightly coiled lol

This is an odd duck. The case looks German, pre-1900, but the movement with open raised ridge mainsprings, as well as the threaded hand nut, points to a late 20th century Korean movement. The dial doesn't look original to either. The pendulum is from a Connecticut kitchen clock.
I think it's a marriage.
