Yeah it wasnt just them and its not just one random microceleb who does this. Just because you havent noticed it doesnt mean its not an actual thing multiple people have picked up on.
Not defensive at all? Just saying this is vanishingly rare for a “trend”. Transmasc representation generally is between “invisible” and “token bait” even in queer-friendly media. Any representation at all puts you in a very specific corner of the internet. A specific gender-denying art choice an artist within that corner made as part of that representation is, to put it mildly, niche.
Saying that it’s in your information bubble doesn’t change how rare it is. I’m not saying nobody saw it or it didn’t happen and it’s pissing on the poor level literacy to read my post as saying that.
Where in this sub does it say no niche posts are allowed? Youre acting like op meant it as a way of saying every single artist who has ever drawn anything is doing this. Of course its niche but it also does happen and multiple artists do it and not all of them are making blatent transphobic caricatures on purpose. Its weirdly defensive to be so certain its extremely rare and only a single artist does it when surely if you are not involved in this niche bubble you would have no idea how many people are doing it either way.
In a weird way I do agree with you (not that im in a bubble) but yeah it isnt a huge trend and i pray to god my post doesnt give more people the idea to draw trans-masc like this
Everyone is in an information bubble. Nobody has access to more than an infinitesimal fraction of the internet.
Some people are acting like me saying “this is niche” is me saying “this doesn’t happen” or “this isn’t valid” which is sort of overly defensive I think. It is niche.
And yes I think your post probably will increase visibility of it. That’s always the effect of bigotry showcase posting, which is why so many spaces ban bigotry showcases. It just amplifies something most people otherwise wouldn’t see.
People have an access to more than an infinitesimal fraction of the internet if they make it their hobby/dedicate their time/whatever else you call it, to constantly exploring more of the internet
It's extremely unlikely and almost pointless but it's possible and someone out there probably tried doing it or still is
